A brief look at the university - Florida Metropolitan University (Everest University)
Note: Florida Metropolitan University is now known as Everest University; there was a name change in 2007, and so we will be referring to it by the new name in the evaluation - the old name has been left here so that people can easily find the university if they are looking for it (alumni, former students, researchers etc)
Everest University is a system of for profit private universities located mainly in Florida in the USA. Everest University also has many campuses located in Canada and in other places in the USA, and is one of the USA's largest educational institutions that makes a lot of money. Everest University offers many degrees, masters and career specific programmes, and also offers distance and on campus part time learning as well, making it a school that offers many offers and opportunities for many students of varied background and varied interests. Everest University is owned by Corinthian Colleges international, according to Wikipedia.
Everest University is accredited, but there is massive debate over its accreditation because it holds national accreditation, unlike regional accreditation. There is no worry about Everest University not being recognised, because it is indeed recognised, but the problem is that other educational and study insititutions that have regional accreditation may not necessarily recognise its national status and there may be some problems with credit transfer. Be warned and you should be alerted to this if you are interested in reading for a degree or certification from Everest University.
There were, in 2004, controversies surrounding Everest University but there has been no conclusive evidence of any wrongdoing (wikipedia, Everest website). It is very complex and students should be warned before they look into it. Everest University is nonetheless recognised and accredited, although there is massive debate and controversies surrounding it.

Why you should study there and my personal recommendations
I will withhold judgement on Everest University and I think that more research is needed. Nonetheless Everest University might be good for business, criminal studies and other very specific courses and online degrees that you could be looking for, and I still reiterate that more research needs to be done.

Everest University says that there is hands on training, small teams, flexible timings for classes, experiences pro teachers, financial planning is available, modern equipment is present, there are good career services available, there are lots of programme offerings, there are many other good reasons why you should study at Everest University. You may wish to consider their opinion in this case and not mine, since I am withholding my personal recommendation for this one. The controversies surrounding the university may have an impact and I personally would not want to give any opinion other than that you may wish to have a look around my site and see if there are other institutions that offer the online degree (at the level, type of degree, and cost) that you might be looking for.

Everest University is a system of for profit private universities located mainly in Florida in the USA. Everest University also has many campuses located in Canada and in other places in the USA, and is one of the USA's largest educational institutions that makes a lot of money. Everest University offers many degrees, masters and career specific programmes, and also offers distance and on campus part time learning as well, making it a school that offers many offers and opportunities for many students of varied background and varied interests. Everest University is owned by Corinthian Colleges international, according to Wikipedia.
Everest University is accredited, but there is massive debate over its accreditation because it holds national accreditation, unlike regional accreditation. There is no worry about Everest University not being recognised, because it is indeed recognised, but the problem is that other educational and study insititutions that have regional accreditation may not necessarily recognise its national status and there may be some problems with credit transfer. Be warned and you should be alerted to this if you are interested in reading for a degree or certification from Everest University.
There were, in 2004, controversies surrounding Everest University but there has been no conclusive evidence of any wrongdoing (wikipedia, Everest website). It is very complex and students should be warned before they look into it. I will stick my neck out on this one and say that if you are interested in the subjects that this university has to offer, Ellis College might be a very good choice. The parent campus, the physical university of NYIT is far more outstanding and also worth your consideration if you are considering a physical campus or degrees awarded from physical campuses. Located in NY, NYIT is an excellent university and so is Ellis College. I strongly recommend them, but of course more research on your part is needed.

A Brief Look at the University - Oxford University
My website is primarily about online degrees, and reviews of online degree universities offering the usual lineup of associate, diploma, bachelors, masters or phD degrees. However, recently I have been doing research into universities for masters programmes, because I feel that I may want to personally get a masters sometime in the future. Well, it would be simply easy to say the obvious about Oxford University - this is one of the oldest, most established universities in the world, boasting an incredible reputation for academics, with very famous buildings and very famous people having visited and studied there as well. I was looking to study there full time, but since this is an online degrees blog, the question is - does Oxford University have online degrees or distance learning programmes? It certainly does offer physical campus degrees and normal degrees as most universities do.
And the answer is yes - Oxford University offers short online courses, longer online courses, and professional online courses. It also offers distance learning programmes. However, more information is only available on the Oxford University website and usually by request or by contacting the Oxford University people.
Which courses are offered at Oxford University

Scholarships, loans and aid are available, but this is unlike the USA, and hence there are no US government assistance programmes available, and certainly no US veterans or US soldiers, army personnel, etc aid available for US military personnel. In addition, Oxford University probably takes care of British citizens in terms of finance more than it does Americans or international students.
Nonetheless, scholarships, loans and aid are available for outstanding international students of all countries and nationalities.
Why you should study at Oxford University and my own personal recommendations
I think this question of mine - a very standard question - can be waived for Oxford University. Its reputation and fame are enough. I would say that more research is needed in terms of online degrees and online programmes here at Oxford University, but if you wish to study at any of the physical colleges there at Oxford University, right at the heart of England in a physical campus, that would be an excellent investment.

My website is primarily about online degrees, and reviews of online degree universities offering the usual lineup of associate, diploma, bachelors, masters or phD degrees. However, recently I have been doing research into universities for masters programmes, because I feel that I may want to personally get a masters sometime in the future. And so, it came to pass that I looked at Oxford University, among many other famous, established universities, and decided that since I evaluated it for myself, I should also share it and evaluate it for my readers or for those who may be interested in studying in England at Oxford University. First up - Oxford University is not a single place; it is collegiate university system meaning that there are many colleges here at Oxford University.
Well, it would be simply easy to say the obvious about Oxford University - this is one of the oldest, most established universities in the world, boasting an incredible reputation for academics, with very famous buildings and very famous people having visited and studied there as well. Oxford University is based in the UK in England, and has many colleges - as I said, it's a collegiate system where the university is made up of many colleges rather than a single university.
